The sacred moon will change her faces
In the guise of happenstance;
Water swirls around the
Islands of our loneliness,
Erodes the grains of precious sand;
We are drowning in what should have been,
Lost without feet
Planted firmly in neurosis.
Dont wish the time away,
Dont wish it wasnt real,
You only have to swim in golden spirals
When the isles of stone have been washed away.
Reflections changing faces,
Blurred together:
Those youve been and seen and touched
And every scar from all the stitching back together.
But, somehow,
Youre still you,
And Im still I,
And we are still washed clean
By the cascade of genesis
Flowing out from the center
And in from the edge.
Bloody trickle, tiny rivers,
Hope to forget the sea they started out from.
It all comes back eventually,
The taste of metal in my mouth,
Our blood is mingled in the ocean,
Our blood, our blood,
Is pure despite it all.
My sister is
My brother is
My father is
My mother is
My Goddess is
My lover is
Myself,
We bound ourselves to crumbling bodies,
Obsessed with the distinctions,
Forgetting we are one.
Water, water set us free,
Moonlight, moonlight let us see,
Goddess, Goddess face of three,
Ever flowing, blessed be.
